Hello! My name is Jorge, and I am an astronomer from Chile. My research interest involves applying artificial intelligence to Astronomy, which has become very important in recent years to take full advantage of the massive astronomical surveys. I got my master's degree at Universidad de Antofagasta, Chile, searching stellar clusters at the far end of the Galactic bar using unsupervised machine learning algorithms.

Currently, I very into Data Science and Big Data. I want to apply my knowledge and abilities acquired as a scientist to solve problems in other areas that require data analysis.

During work, I spend most of my time reading papers, writing and programming. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities like trekking and riding a bicycle. Music, video-games and electronics are my favorite hobbies.

I am a proud father of a curious boy and I have a weakness for nerdy things.
